KAIZEN and FNU representatives engage in a strategic working session to advance digital transformation initiatives in Fiji.
KAIZEN is proud to be part of a formal partnership with Fiji National University (FNU), marked by the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration marks an important milestone in advancing Fiji’s National Digital Strategy.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Manoa Kamikamica, emphasized that the 2025–2035 National Digital Strategy targets a significant leap in the Information Technology ICT sector’s contribution to the national GDP—from 4.2% to 10%. He highlighted that this growth is expected to generate over 40,000 jobs across multiple industries and attract investments exceeding US$100 million—an ambitious target that has already been exceeded.
As part of the MoU, FNU will integrate KAIZEN’s digital capabilities into its academic programmes at the undergraduate, graduate, and master’s levels courses. This integration aligns with Fiji’s national development priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, ensuring students are equipped with practical skills to thrive in a digital-first economy.

The KAIZEN Digital Platform provides students and faculty with access to real-world digital tools that reflect the systems used in modern public service delivery. Beyond classroom learning, this hands-on exposure fosters core competencies in digital literacy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving—skills essential to navigating and shaping Fiji’s digital future.
The partnership also lays the foundation for broader outcomes. It enhances digital literacy nationwide, strengthens the use of technology in government services, and supports innovation within Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). By enabling stakeholders to overcome common barriers in digitalization, the platform contributes to building trust in public institutions and improving the delivery of citizen-centric services
FNU’s Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nii-K Plange, emphasized the significance of the initiative. Through KAIZEN, students will gain hands-on exposure to digital systems that prepare them to participate meaningfully in Fiji’s growing digital economy and contribute to the transformation of public service delivery.
Together, the KAIZEN Digital Platform and FNU are helping to shape a new generation of leaders who will drive digital innovation, strengthen institutional capacity, and ensure inclusive and sustainable national growth.
